<text>Several schools in India do not have constant access to electricity and internet access. Software, such as library management systems (LMS), are often not designed for offline use for extended periods, which is a barrier to their adoption in schools, even though a digital system requires less manual effort than a paper-index library. The existing low-cost or free alternatives are not easy to use for teachers unfamiliar with technology. Often this level of investment discourages schools, especially in more rural areas and cities, from adopting LMS technology. The goal is to develop and build the minimum viable product of a simple LMS, with offline capability and a basic user interface.</text>

This system will ideally continually measure the quality of water and determine if it is safe to drink. To accomplish this the project was split into two parts: the mechanical aspects of creating a casing and the electrical aspects of coding and designing the circuit. The final design iteration combined both elements of the design to work cohesively.

<text>Pharmaceutical pollution of river water through sewage spills, improper disposal and hospital wastewater discharge is an emerging problem in the UK. In this project, a low-cost, 3D printed electrochemical sensor was used to detect paracetamol (the most used over-the-counter medication in the UK) in river water. To develop an understanding of how the sensor works, the working electrode was imaged using both optical and scanning electron microscopy. The sensor was first trialled in high conductivity salt solutions, before moving on to tap water and river water spiked with 0.1 to 1 mM of paracetamol. Finally, a range of experiments using ferrocenylmethyl trimethylammonium hexafluorophosphate were run to study the reusability of the sensors, and how 3D printed electrodes compare to conventional macroelectrodes. Overall, 3D printed electrochemical sensors have huge potential in the analysis of water quality. These sensors cost less than £5 to produce, compared to typical electrochemical cells which cost approximately £500, and do not require any extensive scientific knowledge to use. In the final part of this project, a written method and accompanying video describing how to use these sensors were made, with the intention to invite local ‘Citizen Scientists’ to test the sensors themselves.</text>

<text>Dynamic environments are a phenomenon within video games that tend to be strictly used in multiplayer settings as it is challenging to create agents that can effectively navigate and take advantage of such a rapidly changing setting. In this paper we will discuss a simple modification to the well-known A* pathfinding algorithm that allows agents to navigate through destructible environments within a 2D setting. Furthermore, we will discuss potential improvements to our solution and alternative methods.</text>
